Build and design
HP ProBook 4710s, like the rest of the new HP ProBook family, is a portable, low-cost business designed specifically for small and medium enterprises Translation:. desktop replacement laptop that needs to have a good balance between performance, security , reliability and extras all at an affordable price. Most laptops designed for small and medium enterprises tend to sacrifice the quality of construction to help reduce the cost of production and reduce costs for customers. On that note, the ProBook 4710s looks very similar to a HP EliteBook 8730w with all plastic construction, a new keyboard and all black finish.

The HP EliteBook line uses strong magnesium alloy chassis designs and premium internal components. To reduce the cost and weight of the ProBook 4710s 17-inch HP built the notebook primarily of plastic. The base of the laptop flexes heavily under pressure, the palmrests arc even when pressed firmly, and back of the screen lid is similarly prone to flex. The plastics used in the 4710s will surely survive the use and abuse seen by most typical office desktop replacements, but the chassis might not survive multiple drops off a desk or the kind of abuse we expect the EliteBook series to handle with ease. The key point to remember in this section is that the ProBook 4710s looks pretty nice, but was not designed to be a rugged mobile work tool. Thankfully, HP still offers some good internal components to help make the ProBook 4710s a solid value.

Asus Eee PC 1000HE Review

By Gadget News | At 4:08 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Asus Eee PC 1000HE Review |
Asus started the netbook craze with its small, 7-inch Eee PC. Shortly after, all laptop manufacturer except Apple has produced at least a small and inexpensive laptop, just like it. Today, netbooks are not that little extra - gradually, they have increased in size from 7 "via 9" and now the standard size of a netbook's 10-inch screen. Even a couple of 12-inch models were released

Equipment

What do they all have in common is the material -. With few differences, it consists of an Intel Atom processor at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive and integrated graphics GMA950. The Eee PC, however, has been upgraded with a slightly faster 1.66GHz Atom processor and a 667MHz FSB speed higher instead of earlier models which had 533MHz.

The increase in speed is not big enough to be visible, but you might feel better purchasing an upgraded model. main selling point of the Asus 1000HE is with the life of the battery. According to the manufacturer, you should be able to keep him alive for 9.5 hours without using a jack. To achieve this formidable battery life, you need to use aggressive power saving schemes, no Wi-Fi and turn the brightness all the way down. In our general purpose test, remains shipped more than 7 hours, which is more acceptable.
Design

Regarding the design goes, the Eee PC 1000 HE remains with the concept that we saw in previous Eee netbooks. The keyboard size is almost full (92%) and the trackpad buttons are slightly inclined to the front. The entire netbook case is glossy, which enhances the overall appearance, but also attracts fingerprints easily

Overall, the 1000HE's design focuses on ease of use. not spectacular thin as some of his siblings, as Asus S101 netbook, but it certainly gets the job brilliantly. Moreover, keeping the simple design also helps to keep the price to a minimum, which is often the deciding factor for a netbook buyer.
Connectivity and features

The ports were placed on the left and right sides of the hand of the laptop - no rear. On the right is a memory card reader, 2 USB and VGA on the left is another USB port, Ethernet, and audio input / output line.
Summary

Although there are better looking netbooks on the market, the Eee PC 1000HE comes at a very attractive price and offers excellent battery life. It is also very easy to use thanks to the large keyboard, and has all the features that offer competition and some more. Combine these and you have one of the best netbooks currently available.
Specifications Asus Eee PC 1000HE technical

CyberPower Extreme M1

By Gadget News | At 1:07 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
CyberPower Extreme M1 |

At $ 2.300, Extreme M1 17-inch gaming CyberPower notebook is the antithesis of the Gateway P- budget FX 7811 we have been raving about for months. The most obvious extravagance that you get the highest price is dual-GPU graphics in the form of two ATI Radeon HD 3870 cards in CrossFireX. The M1 Extreme 2.53GHz T9400 Core 2 Duo CPU is 270MHz faster and offers twice as proc cache of the gateway, the 320GB hard drive is more than 50 percent larger, and its optical drive supports reading Blu-ray.

The question is, how these extras reflect the performance? Compared to our zero laptop, M1 Extreme excelled in all benchmarks to varying degrees-not surprising given the age of the zero point. Against the Gateway P-7811 FX, there was a little more give and take. For example, in the producer ProShow and MainConcept pins, the CyberPower platform were oscillating gains around 10 percent, which is proportional to the speed of clock advantage of the M1 2.26GHz CPU Gateway.

Gaming has an even more interesting story. We did not expect the dual-GPU in the M1 Extreme to really flex their muscles in our standard benchmarks portable as FEAR and Quake 4 are not as graphically intensive, especially the soft settings that we use in our mobile tests. But we certainly did not expect the M1 Extreme extinguished only 28fps in FEAR that is 74 percent slower than the Gateway budget machine. No clear explanation for the performance of delay, we forged on. In Quake 4, the Extreme M1 was more expected 7 percent faster than P-7811 FX Gateway.

We went further and tested the M1 Extreme gaming desktop with our marks as well. After all, CrossFireX graphics should be at the height of the most graphically challenging tracks. And of course, we were able to run Crysis at 1920x1200 native resolution of the M1 and made very high quality, but just 15fps. With Unreal Tournament 3, the M1 Extreme exceeded even some gaming desktops with 114fps. Gateway P-7811 FX with its single GeForce GTS 9800N, reached half of frame rates in both games: 8fps and 74fps for Crysis and UT3, respectively. Indeed, the overall gaming prowess M1 Extreme convinced us that the score of FEAR is probably the result of a driver problem and no gaps equipment.

Yet despite his skill as a platform game, we have some reservations on the M1 Extreme. It is heavier than most gaming laptops, weighing nearly 13 pounds with its power supply; its 12 cell battery can not provide the juice for two hours, we had an hour and 50 minutes with a standard-def DVDs in energy-saving mode; and its speakers are weak and spindly. More troubling, the M1 Extreme does not feel quite strong for us: There was a slight deformation of the strip of touch controls above the keyboard of the machine, and the laptop lid showed scratches after only a few days into using it is little consolation that the scratches were camouflaged by all the stains and fingerprints quickly that covered glossy black veneer machine. For the price of this notebook, we expect a better quality

Toshiba Satellite L505-S5966 Review

Toshiba Satellite L505-S5966 Review |

The Toshiba Satellite L505-S5966 proves that consumers can get much, if not all what they need in a system that costs less than $ 600. Priced at $ 549, this current laptop has a 15.6 inch screen with a 16: 9 aspect ratio ideal for watching widescreen movies. While those looking to play the latest 3D games or do serious multitasking will be disappointed, consumers who need a laptop to simply surf the Web, running Office and listen music should be more than satisfied with the L505.

Full specifications

MS Windows Vista Home Premium operating system (32-bit)
Ports (except USB) Ethernet; Headphone; 1.6 inches
Weight 6.0 pounds

design

for a $ 600 system under the satellite L505 is attractive, but not exactly striking. Its lid and the keyboard deck sport Toshiba Fusion Finish with Breeze pattern essentially gray, lines diagonally through the system. Both the lid and deck are bright but neutral color hides fingerprints. The design focuses on the touchpad, making it almost invisible seen from certain angles. While a clever touch, that it is also close to the bridge we were looking for a bit more difficult than we should have. The keyboard and bezel are a matte black that contrasts well with the rest of the chassis.

At 15.1 x 10.2 x 1.6 inches and an even 6 pounds, the Satellite L505 is not exactly travel friendly, but there is one. reasonable size and weight of a 15.6-inch system

above the keyboard is the power button and four media playback buttons: Play / Pause, Reverse, Forward and mute. Unfortunately, there is no volume buttons; Toshiba continues to use a volume wheel of the old school, which in this case is on the front edge of the L505.

Dell Vostro 1320 review

By Gadget News | At 1:03 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Dell Vostro 1320 review |
The Dell Vostro 1320 is solidly built laptop with a built-in optical drive and a powerful CPU

He has a burgundy and black base cover, but do not let his looks fool you. - The Dell Vostro 1320 is a laptop for hipsters to parade in cafes (which is what is for Eee PC). It is a 13.3in notebook that is designed for small business users who want something that avoids the tedious black on black that adorns most rooms and cabins meeting.

The Dell Vostro 1320 is solidly built, it is relatively fast and is a good size to take with you when traveling.

The Dell Vostro 1320 weighs 2.15 kg, but incorporates an optical drive and a 4-cell battery, as well as an assortment of small ports and slots. You get four USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet, D-Sub, an ExpressCard / 54 slot and an SD memory card reader

There is nothing as modern as eSATA or HDMI. these are the kinds of ports that would make the Dell Vostro 1320, with its powerful 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU, come into its own as entertainment and productivity of all-out machines. At present, it is a great notebook for business users.

Even with only 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM our test model scored 90 in WorldBench 6 suite of application tests, which is a good speed for desktop programs, multitasking and even made 3D and photo manipulation. He would have done better if it had more RAM (perhaps the same level as the Dell Vostro 1520, which marked 96 with a slightly slower processor). In the MP3 encoding tests Blender 3D and iTunes, he recorded the time of 1min 11sec and 1min 06sec, respectively, which is about what we expected the P8700 CPU.

HDD Dell Vostro 1320 (a Seagate Momentus ST9250421ASG) was also very fast. He recorded an average speed of 28 megabytes per second transfer files in our tests. This is about 5MBps faster than the hard drive of the Vostro 1520. This means that the Dell Vostro 1320 will serve you well when driving the disk intensive tasks such as data compression.

An NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS is present, which has its own memory and provides the Dell Vostro 1320 relatively good graphics performance for a business notebook. He scored 2379 in 3DMark06, which means it can play games with low-detail settings if you ever get sick of being so productive.

Although his performance was impressive despite the very small amount of RAM, the Dell Vostro 1320 construction quality is another reason to consider purchasing this device. It feels very solidly built - from its base to its lid. You can pick it up from either corner without folding frame substantially or to make annoying noises.

And unlike the frame around the optical drive in the Dell Vostro 1220, he has not contacted unnecessarily the optical drive tray and make clicking noises. Furthermore, the cover protects the well screen. There is no excessive puddling when moving from the edges; its hinges are sturdy and hold the screen perfectly in place at the angle you desire. The screen is latch-less, but it can not be lifted open with one hand -. That's how strong the hinges are

* Comments and laptop buying advice
* trading tips

The Dell Vostro 1320 of the 4-cell battery lasted 2hr 20min in our test video rundown, we perform with maximum brightness of the screen display and wireless radio. This result is poor compared to 2hr 45min that was returned by the largest Vostro 1520. We expected the Vostro 1320 to last nearly three hours.

Using Dell Vostro 1320 for an extended period give you warm up lap, but it's not uncomfortable (especially during winter). In summer, you may want to plonk the unit on a laptop computer or desktop cooler instead. Typing on the Vostro 1320 is comfortable after adjusting the keyboard, even if it tends to bounce a little and keys need a little less resistance.

Primary keys are 18mm wide, which is not exactly full and size keys, function and arrows are half this size. One thing we love about using the Dell Vostro 1320 is the touchpad, which is sensitive and soft buttons that do not make a sound when pressed.

The Dell Vostro 1320 is a laptop solidly built with a built-in optical drive and a powerful CPU

Specification

Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU; NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS; 1GB DDR2 RAM; 5,400rpm 250GB hard drive; DVD ± RW; 13.3in TFT, 1280x800; integrated camera, microphone; D-Sub, Firewire, headphone jack, microphone jack, RJ45, USB 2.0; Bluetooth 2.0, Wireless 802.11n, 802.11a, Wireless 802.11b, 802.11g wireless; 4x USB 2.0; 318x242x43mm; 2.15 kg

Verdict

The Dell Vostro 1320 is a good choice for any business user who wants a laptop that offers the best of both worlds: portability and fast performance. We just wish it had better battery life and the most modern ports.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA netbook examination

By Gadget News | At 10:02 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Asus Eee PC 1005HA netbook examination |

Are you fed up with netbooks costing almost the same as notebooks full? Asus brings the concept closer to its humble beginnings with the 1005HA.

If you are in the market for a netbook and asked what happened at low cost, budget oriented machines originally kickoff gender then you're not alone.

Today, prices still rising steadily closer to the mark £ 400. In fact, it got to the point where the market is crying out for a netbook really budget price. Asus has given the call and with the Eee PC 1005HA-you may just luck.

We liked the high-end netbook price of Asus, the Eee PC 1008HA for its slim, sexy and oh-so- desirable design, but are not too keen on the price . The 1005HA offers the best of both worlds, combining the affordability of the humble beginnings of the Eee PC Seashell style of

This is available in two versions :. A top model who squeezes in an Intel Atom N280 processor, Bluetooth, a huge battery and bright display; and a cheaper version for installing an Intel Atom N270 processor, renounces Bluetooth, opts for a slightly smaller battery and only has a matte screen.

This is the cheaper of the two models is of great interest. Although it costs a reasonable £ 286, it looks very similar to the Seashell more. Its smooth contours and shape shapely curves look good and is available in black or white.

Set the 1005HA beside his thin stable, the 1008HA, however, and it will not be the most delicate game of spot the difference you have ever played. The 1005HA is significantly chunkier - demonstrates the removable lithium-ion battery freely at its rear. It is a sacrifice worth it for the extra stamina on offer, not to mention the ability to carry multiple batteries for long journeys (Seashell battery is not user replaceable). The 4,400mAh battery manages a decent 6h 34mins away from the area.

The 1005HA extra girth tips weighs 1.16 kg, 1.41kg or if you are providing for the realization around the small and portable power too. It might be a bit heavier than some of the competition, but his extra bulk is combined with the quality of robust construction. Pick up the 1005HA by the corner and the chassis is stiff and without grinding, while both the lid and chassis feel good to push the daily abuse netbook bag was bound to suffer.

Are you fed up with netbooks costing almost the same as notebooks full? Asus brings the concept closer to its humble beginnings with the 1005HA.

The 10.1in display marks another change, replacing the glossy 1008HA with a mat. It is a decision that is bound to please many, with reduced reflectivity making the 1005HA even more adapted to a life on the road. reproduction levels of color and contrast are solid without proving exceptional, but like the Samsung NC10, the matte screen does not bring with it a distinctly grainy quality.

And despite its price significantly lower than the 1005HA loses unfashionable features. Bluetooth is a notable absentee, but his absence leaves room in the budget for the project WiFi-n, which is an impressive sight in a sub- £ 300 netbook. Peer around its edges and matte black 1005HA also manages to squeeze in three USB ports, a / MMC SD card reader and a set of speakers that manage to make music rather than stifle it.

There is a similar story with regard to ergonomics. When many netbooks find their aspirations dashed by a poor keyboard or trackpad capricious, Asus remains firmly on the target. It might not achieve the tactile delights of NC10 and N110 from Samsung, but the keyboard is still very good. A full-height Enter key is associated with a refreshing touch off right Shift and the layout is spacious and sensitive.

The keys do not have much in the way of travel, but their positive action more marks for her. Even the strange appearance, dimpled trackpad works well with multitouch gestures for zooming in and out quickly photos or scroll effortlessly through long web pages or documents.

The 1005HA does not scale the great heights N110 from Samsung, but for the money, it is easy to cut the 1005HA some slack. He is handsome, well-built and as capable as many much more expensive netbooks. If you do not settle for second best at any price then the Samsung N110 always wins over all, but for most people, the Eee PC 1005HA netbook is that they always wanted with the price they always dreamed of.

Hacking your laptop Peak Performance Gaming

By Gadget News | At 7:01 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Hacking your laptop Peak Performance Gaming |

Gaming is a big hit among the most technically savvy generation, connection and PC- just games becomes very robust, and commercial games exceptional graphics package and a layout of the lines and play. If you are a player, or looking to join the kingdom of the players, but can not afford a high-end game laptop then this article is for you.

Here's a few tips on dealing with the best game performance from your laptop, regardless of brand or model. Make sure to do your research based on your own laptop and limitations, however, before attempting any changes.

Faster Hard Drive

Slow, clunky hard drives are the bane of most users of computers existence. For a generation where speed is everything - microwave, high-speed Internet - awaiting a 5400 rpm for spinnin 'is like a slow fall down a long hill. If your machine does not have a hard drive 7200rpm, replacing your current hard drive with a faster will make a noticeable performance increase, ranging from faster boot speed game faster start time.

When choosing a new hard drive, choose the largest you can afford, let the games begin to take a large amount of space once a plethora of maps are downloaded and added to the directory as well as system updates, media, and non-game applications.

Finally, choose the drive with a larger amount of cache. If you see two drives, and one is 120GB with 16MB of cache, and the other is 200GB with 8MB, a wise person would choose the smallest drive with the larger cache.

More RAM

RAM not only decides the speed of a computer - many, many things to work together to do - but it is still a viable mechanism in the world of speed, and make switching between applications and tasks smoothly, which will give the whole system that looks like a gain considerable performance.

All laptops have a set limit on the amount of RAM they can use. Many modern laptops have a limit of 4 GB of RAM, but portable high-end computers and most gaming laptops have higher capacity, some up to 16 GB, although this is the maximum current .

The Asus G60 gaming laptop can take 4GB of DDR3 RAM, which is faster than the DDR2 standard, and this should be used for optimal system performance. If you upgrade the RAM, be sure to get DDR3 instead of DDR2 slower.

Cooling Pad

As the system warms up, performance goes down. A gaming laptop has a powerful processor, and the power, when fully utilized, will cook your laptop if you have the rest. Leaving the laptop sitting on a flat surface such as a desktop or a laptop, not enough to make it work optimally. The solution is to keep the processor cool to use a cooling pad that goes under the laptop. These can be purchased at an electronics store, but if you are DIY (or just cheap) type can make a fan from a spare computer and other accessories; instructions can be found via a quick Google search.

Overclocking

This is a dangerous thing to do, not something you must do if you are unsure, want to ensure the health of your laptop, and / or become angry following technical directions. However, each processor varies somewhat in frequency, some being capable of higher frequencies than others. If you hit the jackpot lucky and end up with, for example, a 1.6GHz which is able to 2.0GHZ and by overclocking, you will have more power for a lower price.

The disadvantage of this is that the heat sink may not be able to manage power more you push through it, and the effect is that it will get to a hot fried fault of a better word. If this happens, most warranties cover the damage, and the price of a new processor will be quite heavy.

If you want to overclock your processor, check out this guide.

software optimization system

regularly using a system optimization software will keep your system running the way the material intends for this, not how all the clutter and allows the sludge. If you are often online, often installed programs and uninstall programs, and then we can all but guarantee that your entire system is splashed files placed randomly slowing things.

By running-- regularly or better yet, the programming work at midnight or so - scanners virus / malware / spyware, registry cleaners, defrags equipment, and more, your installation will stay cleaner for a period longer than it would otherwise. Just like a car needs regular preventative maintenance, so does your computer.

Dell Inspiron 15 Review

Dell Inspiron 15 Review |

The Inspiron 15 is the mainstream 15 " laptop homecoming of Dell offers good performance at a value price. consumers can configure this notebook with basic lid configurations, or go all out with custom covers design studio Dell for an additional cost. If you are looking for a basic system to meet your needs at school or at home, read our full review of the Dell Inspiron 15.

our Dell Inspiron 15 Configuration:

* Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200 2.00GHz processor (1 MB of L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
* Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic (32-bit)
* 15.6 "1366x768 16: 9 glossy Display
* integrated Intel X4500 Graphics
* 3GB DDR2 800MHz RAM (2GB + 1GB)
* 320GB 5400RPM HDD
* 8X CD / DVD Burner (dual layer DVD +/- R Drive )
* Intel 5100AGN WiFi and Ethernet 10/100
* 6 -Cell 48WHr Battery
* standard limited warranty of 1 year and working parts with the home service
* Dimensions: 14 7 x 9.6 "x 1.02"
* Weight: 5.8lbs
* Price as configured: $ 549

Build and design
design Inspiron 15 is pretty good for a notebook of value, offering a smooth rounded profile and clean lines. While our model does not offer a more expensive custom lid designs, it gives you an idea of what you would get if you chose the option current "FastTrack" shipping on this model. Only the laptop design element that does not mix well with the matte lid finish is the fully glossy interior. The screen, screen bezel, keyboard trim and palmrest is glossy black inside the notebook, which does not always play well with reflections or smudges. If you keep it clean it looks great, but sometimes sometimes it's boring if you were sitting with your back to bright windows where the entire notebook into a mirror. Overall, if you do not mind the glossy surface of the design of the Inspiron 15 is pretty good compared to other budget models on the market.

The Dell Inspiron 15 has average build quality compared to other models based on the value we have reviewed. The plastics used are well in our tests, but have shown signs of flexing and creaking in spots. The screen lid and palmrest were the two main areas which exhibited flex, with the palmrest giving off creaking sounds if you pressed the right place. The lid of the screen on the Inspiron 15 uses a hinge design without latch that keeps the down using friction and gravity. You need two hands to open with it placed horizontally on your desk, but if you carry under your arm there was a tendency to open up about a centimeter or more. In most models lock, the less we like to see a method of secondary support, such as magnetic hinge and spring to keep it closed when held in any direction. The plastics used in the construction of the chassis feel pretty durable and should hold up well over time, but the glossy finish around the keyboard and palmrest has tended to show fine scratches.

Dell gives you easy access to all components inside the laptop. This includes system memory, hard drive and wireless card and the processor if you are so inclined. Under the main access panel (which includes retaining ring on hand around each screw so they will not fly) is the RAM, wireless card, and processor with heatsink. The hard drive and optical drive are removable through individual sections with their own screws. Curiously Dell has no "void warranty if removed" stickers anywhere, including the screws around the processor.

screen and speakers
The display bright 1366x768 on the Inspiron 15 is average compared to other panels we've seen. the colors and contrast are excellent thanks to the glossy surface, which tends to scatter less light than the equivalent matte surface. levels backlight could be better on the high end of the spectrum, but we found it adequate for most conditions, including one off bright, under the lighting store, and or just sitting on your couch enjoying a show. the viewing angles could be better, with color distortion found in both vertical and horizontal extremes. Colors began to change when titling the screen 20 degrees forward or back. horizontal viewing angles are better, showing only the last color shift 45 degrees.

The speakers included were good compared to other budget models, with clear audio and high end, but little low or midrange coming through. peak volume levels were enough to fill a small room, but if you plan to share a movie in a dorm room, it might be wise to connect the laptop to an external set of surround speakers. To listen to music or movies by yourself, headphones are still a must-have accessory.

Keyboard and Touchpad
The Inspiron 15 keyboard is very comfortable to type on, offering excellent support and a very good layout. The keys are of normal size with a light matte finish for excellent traction. Spacing is spot on compared to my ThinkPad keyboard, so no adjustment was necessary. Support under the keyboard is excellent, with no flex anywhere, even under very high pressure. Individual key action is smooth with a quiet "click" emitted when a key is depressed. It might not be the quietest keyboard I've used, but it still ranks there. The layout function key is interesting compared to other laptop models, with the use of the function keys back. Normally to adjust brightness or volume, or toggle the WiFi settings you press the FN-key, then press the appropriate function key. Dell went with a setup where the secondary command is now the primary. To put it another way, if you want to hit F5 to refresh a Web page, you must now press FN + the brightness up key. In normal operating conditions, it might be more intuitive, but for advanced users who love using commands like window close, page refresh, full screen, and other function keys controls, it is more confusing and complex. Speed and accuracy were pretty good, with barely any lag noticed in our tests. We encountered a situation where a quick tap and select movement would not release the selection box, but this has not been raised frequently. The touchpad may not have been as enjoyable to use as a Synaptics model, but the market for laptop, it should be good. The touchpad buttons are a great surprise to see on a budget model. They provide excellent feedback and have a deep touch, instead of the standard touchpad buttons "clicky".

Ports and Features
Port selection on the Dell Inspiron 15 is lacking compared to notebooks of the same size, only three USB ports, VGA, LAN, and a / 34 ExpressCard slot. HDMI would have been greatly appreciated, as it would allow a user to connect the laptop to a home theater to play movies, but now, you must have a compatible TV VGA, and still be limited to the analog audio out. To quickly copy images off a memory card, there is a SDHC memory slot spring on the front of the laptop. eSATA would have been another nice touch, but it is quite difficult to find on some laptops upscale.

Performance
System performance is below average compared to other mainstream notebooks, but it depended on heaviliy the low end T4200 Intel Dual-Core Pentium our configuration included. While it may not be able to play the latest games, users have no problems typing documents, watching HD movies, rip music via iTunes, or editing photos. boot times were still quick, taking only about 35 seconds to get to a ready desktop screen from a full stop. The included 320GB hard drive offered plenty of storage space for movies, music and photos, and even if it is only 5400, it is still faster for everyday use. Overall this system falls down on our list in terms of performance, but if you need to upgrade the processor, the speed across the board would get a big boost.

All 3DMark06 scores for all of the systems listed above were run at 1280 x 800 (for screens with a 16:10 aspect ratio) or 1280 x 768 (for 16: 9 screens).

storage drive performance results HDTune:
Dell Inspiron 15

battery
Battery life is below average in comparison to other laptops, and we planned the 48Wh battery slightly better results from Dell included with it. In our tests with the screen brightness set to 70%, wireless active, and Vista set to the balanced profile the Inspiron stayed for 2 hours and 38 minutes. Power consumption varies between 12 and 16 watts during our battery test. A treatment system and energy management more effective could have given much better results. To put this in perspective, the ThinkPad T400 with an Intel T9600 Core 2 Duo processor and X4500 graphics consumed as little as 8.5 watts of power.

The heat and noise
system temperatures stayed well within our range "lap-friendly", with only one hot spot being the touchpad. On battery with nothing being significant execution in the background of barely system mounted above room temperature. Noise levels remained low during our tests, with only a few jolts of higher speed fans, before the fan resumed its on / off status of the quiet fan. After the laptop had been running for much of the day and being connected stressed earlier times, the system still showed no signs of running abnormally hot in our temperature readings listed below Fahrenheit.

Conclusion
The Dell Inspiron 15 is a laptop budget to mid-size with good looks and quality of average build. The keyboard is very comfortable to type on with excellent support, but has a weird layout of function keys that can hinder more advanced users. The touchpad provides excellent surface texture with buttons that have great feedback and distance. Base configurations start as low as $ 379, making it a reasonable choice if you are working on a budget. Overall, it might not be the best laptop on the market, but it still offers a great value and a very attractive design

More :.

* Good appearance
* Easy Update all components
* Good cooling system
* Large touchpad buttons

Less

Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T Notebook Review

By Gadget News | At 12:59 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T Notebook Review |

The Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T is a great laptop if the portability of a netbook is attractive, but you're worried about the keyboard cramped, and you can not afford a powerful ultraportable laptop. It is much more expensive than a netbook, but it is also much more powerful and feature-rich, and it is not as expensive as laptops premium ultraportable Portege R600 as Toshiba. Best of all, for a 14in laptop it offers good battery life, it will be great to use while commuting to work or want to take notes in some united conferences.

has within the Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T is a single-core Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 CPU, which runs at 1.4GHz. It does not offer as much power as a dual-core CPU, but partly thanks to the 4GB of DDR3 RAM, this notebook has enough grunt to easily office tasks. In the WorldBench 6 benchmark the notebook scored 50, which is a less inspiring result compared to many laptops that have Intel Core 2 Duo, and the iTunes and Blender tests, he scored 3min 23sec and 4min 12sec, respectively . You will probably be able to play a few games - they are so 90s The notebook achieved a low score of 607 in 3DMark06

Do not let the relative lack of power put you off, however. You can listen to MP3s while you type documents, for example, and crop your photos without many problems. The 320GB hard drive running at 5400rpm and copied the files to 21.85 megabytes per second in our test.

There is a laptop well established. The Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T has a solid chassis and a rigid hinge. Our only concern was a slight click in a part of the bezel of the screen when we pressed and some looseness in the DC connector (which we suspect a flaw in our review unit).

screen of the Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T is definitely a highlight. It is a great size for web browsing and word processing - tiny netbooks like the ASUS Eee PC 701 4G can seem cute, but their screens can tax the eyes - and it is LED backlit, so it is extremely luminous. It is a high definition display with a resolution of 1366x768.

We were very impressed with the keyboard, which is isolated keys as the HP ProBook 4510s Notebook PC. The keys are in size with a few exceptions (cursor keys and the function keys).

The touchpad is comfortable to use and a good size, although we wish he had left and right click buttons separated instead of a single plastic strip. We were happy to see the inclusion of a button to disable the touchpad; we found too often we move the mouse cursor when we were typing. Unfortunately, although the button worked fine in Windows Vista Home Premium, which was installed on our review unit, it did not work in the Ubuntu distribution of Linux (it disabled the touchpad, but would not reactivate). make it work. It is unfortunate that there are no physical buttons to disable and enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, especially given the focus of this notebook on achieving a long battery life (d hence the nickname "Timeline"). The ease of getting a Linux distribution to run on the Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T reminded us how the operating system came from the years when even get X to run was a challenge.

In our test DVD rundown battery, which is carried out without energy-saving features enabled, brightness of the full-screen and Wi-Fi enabled, the notebook lasted 4hr 19min. This is a good result for a laptop of this size. Turn the brightness down a few notches, turning off Wi-Fi and use of certain sensitive energy saving measures mean that you are likely to get more life out of it. Acer says you can achieve up to eight hours of battery life for the laptop, and it could well be possible if you take the right precautions.

This laptop is much richer in features than a netbook, with fast 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, and almost all the ports you'd expect: a multi-card reader, D -Sub (VGA), HDMI (great for connecting to an LCD TV) and three USB ports. It also comes with a DVD burner and a Kensington lock slot.

In addition to the connectivity options and ease of use, making the Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T really stand out is its design. A 14in laptop often strikes a good balance between portability and usability, and the light weight of this notebook - 1.9 kg - and thin dimensions (it is only about an inch thick) in make an excellent choice to take on the road or at your uni class.Thank you for visiting my blog. and you've just read the article entitled Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T Notebook Review . hopefully I share this article useful for you all. do not forget to continue to follow this article which I share

Dell Studio 1555 - 15.6in Laptop Review

Dell Studio 1555 - 15.6in Laptop Review |

Dell The range Studio 'first laptops started the year last as studio 1535, but to keep things fresh PC giant has updated its 15in public offering with the studio in 1555 (15 for short) before us today. Mainly this is to make the transition to a 16: aspect 15.6in display 9, but it has also been one or two design settings, new features and added hardware options, so it is a little more that a mere change of scenery [

be a Dell studio 1555 can be configured to suit all kinds of budgets. For example, if you select the more expensive options available, you could pay almost £ 1,800! This will net an impressive spirit of the machine, with some superior options including a full HD display, a backlit keyboard, up to 8GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive and a Blu-ray player Re -graveur. Conversely, in its most basic form, you could pay as little as £ 449 and still get what we consider a decent budget machine.

Our review unit found a happy medium between the two. On a normal trading day, it would cost around £ 1,040, if at the time of writing Dell is running a special offer that would bring this down to a market of £ 763. Dell's price is still subject to fluctuations, so it is worth keeping an eye on what happens.

For this you get an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz, which put 1555 firmly on the desktop replacement territory. This is joined by 4GB of DDR2 800MHz RAM, a 320GB 7,200rpm hard drive and 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570. Given these characteristics, this system should be a very quick artist, something we will put in test later.

other non-standard features in our system include Bluetooth, Draft-N Wi-Fi and backlit keyboard, but we were a little disappointed to find the display is the standard 1366 x 768 effort not the £ 70 1,920 x 1,080 options - an update, we highly recommend. As always it is the beauty of buying from Dell, because anyone who does not Bluetooth or a backlit keyboard could easily pass on a better screen or save money.

Sure, but how much you spend, you will always have the same basic chassis and the same abundant connectivity options. Most of it is located on the left edge, with HDMI and VGA for video, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a combo eSATA / USB port, a dedicated USB port, mini FireWire, and audio jacks trio (1 x input line, . 2 x line out) all well integrated

further to the right is a 34mm ExpressCard slot - below which is the multi-format card reader - another USB port and the power input. Just above the power input is a small white LED to show when the system is in charge, which is uniquely the only light activity on the machines bar backlit power button on the hinge. Our only complaint on the side of the connectivity of things is the lack of USB ports supply of aid, which is a feature increasingly common and very useful for charging mobile devices.

Toshiba NB200-110 Netbook Review

By Gadget News | At 6:57 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Toshiba NB200-110 Netbook Review |

The NB200-110 (£ 369 inc. VAT) is the second netbook for be released by Toshiba following the lukewarm reception of its first model, the NB100, which has since been abandoned. Fortunately, the NB200 is a much more successful effort and a great netbook in its own right.

Rather than the boxy look unstylish the NB100, the NB200 features a larger, smoother and more eye-catching design. Available in a choice of white, brown or black, features the chassis ribbed plastic on the lid, a matte silver finish on the palmrest and a large metal hinge, false.

At 1.4 kg, the additional size adds little to the overall weight. The slim design and curved edges make it possible to fit easily in your hand luggage. The big 6 cell battery unfortunately exceed 20mm at the rear of the chassis, but it offers an impressive 493 minutes of mobile use.

The keyboard is almost full size with a key-isolating design whereby each key protrudes through an individual hole in the chassis. The keys are large, accessible and move quietly when typing.

The coronation, however, is the stunning 10.1-inch Super-TFT. Surrounded by shiny striped bezel is perhaps the most dynamic netbook screen we've seen. Sharpness, color and contrast are incredibly effective, and images literally pop off the screen.

The NB200 is also well equipped with extras. An integrated camera is located above the screen, and one of the three USB ports using technology Sleep and Charge, allowing you to charge USB powered devices when the netbook is turned off.

In addition, the 160GB hard drive is shock-protected to prevent data damage if you drop the netbook. If this happens, the player detects the movement of free fall and automatically parks the read / write heads of the disk to prevent scratching and damage the disc surface.

Toshiba had a lot to prove with the NB200 and he mostly succeeded. While a battery more discreet and slightly less garish design would have been appreciated, fantastic friendly and gorgeous screen make it a great addition to the netbook market.

Asus N90SV-A2 Review

By Gadget News | At 3:56 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Asus N90SV-A2 Review |

The Asus N90SV-A2 desktop replacement laptop is roughly the size of two laptops 15 inches turned vertically and placed side by side. Movies and great games on the large (18.4 inch diagonal), bright, HD full resolution (1920 by 1080) screen. (Asus recently released a more game-focused laptop of similar size, the Asus W90VP.)

Some of the bulk results from dubious design choices. For example, the bezel on the sides of the screen is an inch thick, and a lot of unused space around the keyboard.

"touch buttons" left of the keyboard provide one-click control over such functions as the launch of ExpressGate software from the laptop, cycling between display profiles, locking the touchpad, and cycling between energy profiles. But the keys are rather small compared to the space they occupy, because of the large volume wheel located directly below them. The instant keys glow with a bright blue backlighting that seems impossible to extinguish and can be very distracting during movie viewing, unless you plan ahead and have a washcloth handy.

The N90SV-A2 is comfortable to work. The full-size keyboard has plenty of key travel and a nice clicky feel. Asus even includes a full-size number pad close, the more ExtraWide Backspace, Enter, Shift, Ctrl keys and everyone loves, and even dedicated arrow keys. The trackpad on the other hand, seemed to have trouble detecting movement sometimes even with his elbow sensitivity. The single chrome bar button offers no clear distinction between left and right mouse, leading to occasional misclicks.

Asus provides a multi-card slot on the left (near the Blu-ray Disc), and a right to express card slot, two headphone jacks, a microphone jack and two USB ports. On the back, you get two USB ports, HDMI, VGA, power, and gigabit ethernet; 802.11n Wi-Fi is integrated. The Altec Lansing speakers are located on the front edge upward slope of the laptop, so they point down at an angle to your table. Although they sound better than the speakers on most smaller notebooks, speakers on other large desktop replacement models (like the Sony VAIO VGN-AW230J / H) are even better.

In the configuration we tested at approximately $ 1800 price (as of July 15, 2009), the N90SV-A2 packs a 2.66GHz Intel T9550 Core 2 Duo CPU, 4GB DDR2 -800 RAM, a Blu-ray drive, a graphics chip GeForce 130M GT set with 1GB of RAM (essentially the same as the GeForce 9600M GT), and 1TB of storage on two 500GB drives (which were curiously divided into four 250GB partitions). Although the specifications look pretty good for the price, graphics seemed a little power for a large, heavy entertainment notebook. At its native resolution of 1920 by 1080 I had to disable antialiasing to run Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare at a good pace, for example, and I had to turn some texture settings in Fallout 3.

Perhaps because of its slow SIS chipset and 800MHz (versus 1066) RAM, the N90SV-A2 scored a 86 in WorldBench, one of the lowest scores among recent laptops desktop replacement. The game performance was good at lower resolutions, but Enemy Territory: Quake Wars ran at only 37 frames per second at 1680 by 1050 resolution, and Unreal Tournament III at only 39 fps. The aforementioned Asus W90VP shot in the rate of 88 fps and 61 fps, frame respectively, on the same two games. The N90SV-A2 lasted just over 2 hours in our battery test, but that time shortens if you play demanding games or watch Blu-ray movies.

Speaking of Blu-ray discs, our test system played them wonderfully. Nevertheless, the quality of the laptop screen was average: Blacks are not as dark as we'd like, giving the poor contrast; and (as often happens on the laptop screens of this size) brightness was not uniform -. bottom of the screen always seemed more faded than the top

The N90SV-A2 has an attractive price, but I 'd rather play faster the chip, the faster RAM and a GPU more faster than a lot of hard drive space. The screen is large size, but not great in color or contrast. And the overall design of the notebook is uninspired, with a good amount of wasted space and an uncertain touchpad.

Lenovo IdeaPad S12 Review

By Gadget News | At 12:55 PM | Label : | 0 Comments
Lenovo IdeaPad S12 Review |
The Lenovo IdeaPad S12 features a 12-inch screen and is one of the largest netbooks on the market. The S12 comes pre-loaded with Windows XP, has a full keyboard, and includes a six-cell battery for five hours of run time. - Read on to see how it fared in our testing

* Intel Atom N270 (1.60GHz)
* Windows XP Home Edition
* Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics
* 1GB RAM
* widescreen 12.1-inch (1280x800) with LED backlight
* 160GB 5400RPM hard drive (Hitachi HTS543216L9A)
* battery 6 cells Li -ion (11.1V, 52Wh)
* Broadcom 802.11b / g wireless
* limited one-year warranty
* White color (also available in black)
* Dimensions: 11.5 x 8.5 x 0.9 to 1.4 inches (L xpx H)
* Weight: 3.42 lb from w / 6-cell battery

As configured, our S12 is currently priced at $ 499. The base model starts at $ 449 with a 1.3GHz VIA Nano processor.

Build and Design
Like all netbooks have nearly identical specifications, manufacturers need to consider the design and build quality to differentiate. Lenovo IdeaPad S12 is a docile machine and easy to search for a not a square edge in sight. second generation of the company netbooks feature rounded edges and a slimmer chassis. The S12 looks well built; all parts fit together perfectly.

The back cover has a design "fashion" with hundreds of little circles dotting the lid. The S12 would be home in a Target store because I think all these little circles resemble the bullseye company logo. In addition, the majority of people that I show he thought it was the machine of a young girl, probably because he is white and has that circle design on the lid. Your mileage may vary - I suggest guys go with the black version

The S12 is constructed of ABS plastic through and through .. It looks and feels sturdy and is not fragile at all. The only part of the laptop which could be more solid is the battery, which slightly oscillates. There is little flexible anywhere on the machine, with the exception of what is the cover; ripples show on the screen when only mild pressure is put on the back of the screen. This should be a non-issue as long as the machine is not thrown around. The hinges that hold the display on are very strong as well. A point of interest about the lid is that it tilts backwards about 20 degrees from vertical; given the light of this machine, it will likely be used in a variety of situations and therefore should probably tilt another 10-20 degrees or more.

The whole base of the laptop has a matte finish, while the lid is glossy plastic front and back. The glossy plastic is surprisingly durable; I did not use a sleeve to protect the S12 in my bag during the week I had it and there were no scratches at the end of the review period.

The glossy screen attracts dust and fingerprints easily, so keep a microfiber cloth handy. Regarding cleanliness goes, the white plastic stayed clean during the time that I had; only time will tell how long-term rates. Hopefully the plastic is not too absorbent and will not pick up stains and discolorations. The black S12 is better at hiding everyday wear.

Compared to the Dell Inspiron Mini 12, a direct competitor to the Lenovo S12, the S12 is slightly smaller (but more about a tenth of an inch thick). The S12 feels deceptively heavy in the hands depending on how you pick it up (rear, front, and so on). The stick-out 6-cell battery is the main reason S12 feels heavy.

Overall, the S12 has excellent fit and finish with an accommodating design.

screen IdeaPad S12 and Speakers

screen and speakers
The S12 features a wide screen 12 inch (16:10) with a 1280x800 resolution and LED backlighting. Contrast and brightness are excellent; the display lighting LED (instead of traditional CCFL lighting used in most notebooks) make for a very homogeneous brightness distribution, with only a hint of bleed at the bottom. There are ten brightness levels; I found level 7 or 8/10 to be the sweet spot, but dimming the screen to 4 or 5/10 are perfectly usable and I extend the battery life. The higher brightness level is almost too bright. Viewing angles are average at best - above the photo quickly washed, and below it darkens. angles Side by side are better but it is noticeable color change.

Unfortunately, the coating of the glossy screen means a lot of reflections, so using this machine outside or areas with lots of lighting sources could get annoying.

The 1280x800 screen resolution is excellent for a netbook; most have 1024x600 or less. The display also has a 16:10 ratio, which is unusual since most manufacturers are turning to 16: 9 displays. The higher resolution makes the S12 feel more like a full computer than other netbooks with lower resolutions.

There are two speakers located under the palm rests on the S12. These are essentially stereotypical notebook speakers -. They get loud enough to hear sounds and are reasonably clear but for situations where audio matters, such as movies and music, will make use of the headphone jack

Speaking of the headphone jack, it is unfortunate that some background noise is present. It is easily embedded with audio and most people probably will not even notice, but an audiophile like myself, it is disappointing.

Keyboard and Touchpad
Keyboard The IdeaPad S12 is, in a word, superb; it is full-size and requires no adjusting from a standard notebook keyboard. There is no flex and key travel is right. The keyboard feels high quality and makes typing accuracy; each key is anchored securely and does not wobble at all. It has excellent tactile feedback and enough resistance that you can rest your hands on the keyboard in typing position without pressing keys accidentally. Lenovo designers made good use of keyboard real estate - I am pleased to see the PrintScreen key is its own key and not mapped as a secondary function (as in, need to press the [Fn] in conjunction with the corresponding key to use ), and the Page Up and Page Down keys are near the arrow keys. The Home and End keys are secondary function keys, but looking at the space the designers had to deal with, it was clearly not an option for separate as well.

Overall, this is one of the best keyboards netbook / notebook I used a long time.

The touchpad has its ups and downs. While tracking is easy and it is reasonably accurate, it is a little too small - I found myself short pieces often. If it measured half a centimeter more in diameter would be perfect. The touchpad buttons provide good feedback and make an audible but not annoying click when depressed. The buttons are easy to find by feel and other than wishing they were slightly larger, I have no complaints about them

Ports and Features

Gigabyte Booktop M1022 netbook examination

Gigabyte Booktop M1022 netbook examination |

If there is a segment in consumer electronics where it is difficult to stand out, it is netbooks . The race to the bottom line, as well as strict rules of component suppliers regarding the maximum specification, means that the material of most machines following the same tired ground. To differentiate, some brands have opted for super-slimline design, and extended life of the battery; Gigabyte, meanwhile, took a more unusual route. Booktop M1022 their netbook comes with a desktop docking station; Mobilx.hu our friends were good enough to send us a review unit to try

Docks are certainly not unusual in the world of laptop, and many users -. especially in business situations - have been Slotting their laptops in the docks in small groups for years now. Docks for netbooks, however, are less common, although the principle remains the same: to have a compact machine, in the case of the M1022 10.2 incher, to travel, and then connect it to a full size display, keyboard and mouse with a single connection when you are back at the office.

Gigabyte took the midfield with the Booktop Wharf. With three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, VGA output, power supply and line-out jack, it offers more than the mouse / keyboard connectivity but offers nothing that the same M1022 did not get. The netbook is sitting upright, connected by a proprietary socket, and there are power buttons and battery on the front of the dock so you can control the M1022 when the screen is closed. 160GB. There's also WiFi b / g, 10/100 Ethernet and Bluetooth 2.1, with a 6 cell battery, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA, audio in / out, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and an ExpressCard slot. OS is Windows XP Home, and any measure 265 x 180 x 27.2 to 31.3 mm and weighs 1.3 kg.

Build quality is very good, both the netbook and its docking station. The usual items of concern in budget machines, such as hinges are sturdy and firm, and we are pleased that the M1022 can be opened to almost 180 degrees. As you will expect the platform to support your right netbook, it is reassuring that the transparent foot plate provides a lot of support to prevent side to side rocking. Physically drop the M1022 in the cradle took some time to perfect; the cavity is not a tight fit, which means that there is some movement trying to line up the projecting plug with the port of the netbook, but even after several days of fumbling there was no flex or movement in the cap itself. As long as you do not get accustomed to slam home M1022, we believe the platform should take up most of the treatments.

The keyboard also feels well put together, and the layout is generally good. There is a right shift key substantially located, often because of compact netbook cards ", but strangely there is a second key backslash right of the up arrow. Regarding the trackpad, who suffers from the palm remains shallow and puts his clumsy, thudding buttons on each side instead of underneath as we prefer. Yet there is little flex, even in the center of the 'board, and there are various useful shortcuts through the row of function keys for brightness, volume, and Bluetooth and WiFi toggle independent.

Looking up in the display, and while it's a glossy screen is not nearly as prone reflection on other recent laptops we've seen. The advantage, of course, a coating of the glossy screen is that it can make colors look richer, and the M1022 certainly does a decent job at that. Running at 1024 x 600 resolution, like most netbooks, there are the usual balance of the size and zoom web page, but there is a reasonably clear and satisfactory panel.

If you prefer a larger screen, however, connect the M1022 to a desktop configuration is much simpler than most netbooks. Thank you to the dock, you can leave your LCD screen, keyboard mouse, wired network connection and speakers all connected, and connect them with much quicker than dealing with separate son. It is also tidier, allowing you to route all the cables neatly out of the way, and of course you can connect a USB hub if you need more than three ports on offer. Since the M1022 is closed when you connect, no more monitors to overcome the confusion; you just have a new screen (assuming we greater) to use.

We can not help thinking that Gigabyte has missed a trick with the Booktop M1022 dock, however. There is no additional ports that the netbook itself does not offer, and you're still limited to 10/100 Ethernet instead of Gigabit. More than that, however, we would have liked to have seen a USB device port on the dock, which could be used to enable the M1022 connect to another computer and treat it as an external drive. In this way, copying documents and other files through would be a case of connecting a USB 2.0 cable. Yet we are pleased that the ExpressCard slot of the M1022 is still accessible even when the netbook, it docked, meaning that you can continue to use a fashionable 3G data card there.

The biggest argument of the Gigabyte Booktop M1022, however, is how it is realistic, using a netbook based on Atom N270 as a basis for your desktop. It is unlikely that Gigabyte expect someone to do the graphics, audio or video editing users more powerful laptops in full screen mode can be done when their machines are docked. Instead, you're looking at the same Internet access, basic document editing, email, and you would do on a netbook, only with more comfortable devices. We saw the same benchmarking figures for the M1022 as with almost all other basic netbook Atom N270 with the same specifications that passed through our test bed; low 800s in Geekbench, which measures CPU and RAM performance.

Yet this usage scenario describes a lot of PC owners, and there are many people out there happy with what their netbooks make for them. Couple the convenience and portability of a well put-together machine of 10.2 inches with the flexibility of the eyes and devices in full screen mode easily by hand and it is a convenient bonus. Gigabyte suggest you will see about 7 hours of use of the standard 6-cell, 7,800mAh battery; which is ambitious estimate usual, but we saw more than five hours of casual browsing over WiFi, typing and emailing.

The Booktop M1022 starts to make sense when you drop your expectations of laptops that come with a docking station. Rather than allowing office use a powerful laptop, Gigabyte provides a more comfortable use of a niche product. If you have considered a netbook, but lamented the undersized keyboard and display, or a nettop, but can not cause you to sacrifice portability, the M1022 offers the best of both. You'll pay for the privilege - Mobilx.hu importer, who generously lent us our review unit, have Gigabyte Booktop M1022 listed for $ 470 (excluding VAT) or € 331 (excluding VAT) to which you can add 3G integrated -. via SlashGear
