Lenovo IdeaPad U350 Review |

Lenovo is best known for its excellent ThinkPad notebook business, but also offers entry-level machine through its 3000 series range IdeaPad balance the two, with the U350 offering a combination of mobility, ease of use and features of the company.

Where other Lenovo laptops use stark but functional black designs, a more favorable consumer design is used here. The textured plastic cover and faux brushed aluminum palm rest provides a look that will suit the home or office, and the build quality is excellent throughout.

The slim chassis weighs 1.7 kg, which makes this ultraportable ideal for frequent travel use. is mixed. The keyboard is large and spacious and all keys respond accurately, but the board flexes and rattles slightly when typing. The model we saw was a pre-production build, however, if one can hope to be corrected on final samples.

The large touchpad is much more usable. It also supports multi-touch gesture control, allowing you to move your fingers in a circle on the button to scroll through documents, or pinch your fingers to zoom in on images. It's a small touch, but works very well.

The 13.3-inch screen is excellent. Brightness, color and contrast are outstanding, offering crisp and vibrant images. The widescreen aspect ratio is ideal for viewing spreadsheets and an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness according to your environment.

low power components are used to provide optimal performance within the small chassis. The low voltage Intel processor and 3072MB of memory provide enough power for most home and office tasks, but not the best configuration for frequent multitasking.

Ample storage is provided by hard disk and 320GB disk is protected against shocks, to avoid damage to your data if you drop the laptop. Unfortunately there is not

Wi-Fi 802.11n and Gigabit Ethernet provide an integrated broadband network in optical drive for use on CD / DVD, but a 3-in-1 card reader allows the access to flash memory cards. . The integrated camera also supports VeriFace login software, whereby it remembers your facial features, and allows you to log on to Windows by simply looking into the camera.

Overall, the IdeaPad U350 is a comfortable balance between high-end ThinkPad and Lenovo 3000 entry level ranges. It may not be the best ultraportable we've seen, but it is nevertheless a highly usable machine and is sure to meet small to medium business use.

Dell Inspiron Mini 12 reviews |

Well, Dell . What can you do?

And while the Laptop magazine has the Mini 12 a decent critical, plus the buzz on the net is pretty docile

not to start too negative, the Mini 12 has redeeming qualities. a 12 "screen, a super slim frame and a nearly full keyboard. The slim design and the lack of an optical drive makes it a competitor of choice for MacBook Air. And with Dell's standard low price of about $ 650 it is hard to complain. But this is where the fun ends and reality kicks in.

You can clearly see in the specifications, the slim frame is where the comparison with the MacBook Air ends. The Intel Atom Z530 1.6 GHz processor for performance makes slow with Vista preloaded. And with only 1GB of RAM, do not think you'll do something more than a simple calculation and a little Internet surfing, because you're not going to get games or high-end video / photo editing performance of the Mini 12.

guys Gadget Review mobile and tend Mag to agree with the critics Laptop Magazine, too. so the Internet consensus says avoid the Mini 12 unless it is small in size and price are enough to sell you on the lame specifications

and, limited specifications :.

* Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Basic
* Processor: Intel Atom Z530
* Processor speed: 1.6 GHz
* RAM: 1 GB
* Weight: 3.2 lb
* screen Size: 12 inches

Asus Eee 1008HA Seashell Netbook Review |

Our review Digital Trends partners tested the Asus Eee 1008HA Seashell Netbook and published this review.
Quote from the review: "Strip away the plastic shell, aluminum coating and Chiclet keys style, and every netbook comes down to almost exactly the same material, they seem to share all about 90 percent of their DNA - which is why many companies are starting to look beyond the stagnant material inside and turning to the outside as a way to stand out

. Asus already joined the party with the S101 fashion-savvy, then with the 1002HA-coated metal, and now continues his quest thin with the 1008HA Seashell. he can not shoot anything unusual under the hood, but the super-slim dimensions and elegant hull make it one of the most worthy of lust netbooks we've laid eyes on.
