Performance
Although the S7 input level comes with a Core i5 processor, our review unit set update came with a Core i7-3517. This processor has proven quickly in our tests, reaching a score of 44.1 GOPS in SiSoft Sandra arithmetic test processor and a 7622 score in 7-Zip. Both figures are about 20 percent better than the average Ultrabook.
Thanks to the combination of a powerful processor and a quick drive to the solid state, continued excellent performance in PCMark 7 where the laptop scored 4782. In regular use, the numbers of reference will result in fast and smooth performance. Programs load almost instantly, and even demanding applications can perform tasks quickly.
