It looks like low power thin and light notebooks 11 to 13 inch laptops might be the new netbooks. I'm on the fence about whether these will completely replace netbooks in the coming years, but PC vendors are certainly starting to grow thin and light as they are the new hot thing ... you know, like netbooks were last year.
the last machine to make the scene is the Lenovo IdeaPad U150, which features a 11.6-inch screen, a dual core processor core 2 Duo ULV Intel, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, and Intel GMA X4500 graphics.
The laptop weighs less than 3 pounds and measures to a half-inch thick at its thinnest point. Some pictures to PC Watch snagged CEATAC, the U150 also has a texture looking a bit odd on the frame covering the lid and palm rest area. You can find more pictures and a price (about $ 770) to Xmit.cc.
