Here goes Sony claiming the first of another world. If you recall, the company made quite a fuss over its VAIO P when it launched back at CES. He refused to call it a netbook (probably because Windows Vista was loaded on), but almost everyone assumed it was really the most expensive (and irregularly shaped) netbook on the planet.
now, there is the VAIO X, which Sony uses to push even once the limits of what is possible in the laptop sector [Called"lepluslégerportable"dumondedelasérieVAIOXnepèseque16lbsetestàpeineplusde05"ofépaisseurPourceuxmalaveclesmathématiquesquiestàpeuprèsaussiépaisquevotreBlackBerryOuaissauvageIlestconstruitavecunchâssisenfibredecarboneetpossède16:affichagede9aspectratioetintégréVerizonWireless3Gestincluspourresterconnectéendéplacement
screen itself is just 11.1 "diagonally, but again Sony refuses to call this netbook. The LCD screen is scratch resistant LED backlit, and it comes with a battery of standard 3.5 hours and a super long battery up to 14 hours of use. The keyboard is chiclet style that many companies will (like Asus), and multitouch trackpad ensures that you can use your fingers to zoom in / out and rotate images. In addition, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS modules are included, not to mention a fast SSD, Windows 7 Home Premium and a starting price of $ 1,300.
This is available for pre-order in black or gold from today, and honestly, the price is very reasonable considering just how unique the form factor. Too bad the 2GHz Atom Z550 will not provide enough power to really show 1080p content or heavy game, but it really provides a machine of this thin, anyway.
