0 Opera 11.60 Beta Released, Calls On Developers

Opera released the beta version of Opera 11.60, the next update of its flagship desktop browser. And there are few thing Opera wants you to try out – including a new HTML 5 utility that improves web-applications compatibility across browsers.

Called Ragnarok, Bruce Lawson, Web Evangelist for Opera Software explains, “Before, browsers had to guess, and they all guessed differently. That led to a lot of site incompatibilities and meant more work for developers.” With Ragnarok, developers spend less time tweaking their sites to work on browsers as HTML5 specify how browser should handle code errors.

For front-end designers Opera 11.60 supports CSS3 radial gradients, allowing you to create designs on the Opera browser. For all you developers types there is the latest version of Java script on board, the ECMAScript 5.1, HTML 5 microdata, this is the basis for the markup patterns that Bing, Yahoo and Google use to enhance their search results
